Metal Gear Solid Easter Egg - Designers' Lair

The battle with the ninja actually takes place in a mock-up of the designers office. If you look carefully (its easier to see before you beat the ninja) you can even see a playstation sitting on one of the desks.

hmm...I think I know why that policenauts poster is there. Maybe that's why they use a policenauts clip when Otacon is talking.

Hi I'm a great fan of MGS and have just completed it for the 24th time. I would like to add that there is a playstation in the office where you fight the Ninja It is a darker shade of grey than the normal psx but from the controller shape it's a psx. I would also like to add that the Policenauts poster is because the cartoon series was made by Konami and I think Hideo Kojima the creator worked on it

Its a Yaroze Playstation in Otacon's room. The kind they used to sell that you could develop your own games on.

Also, if you go to the locker where Otacon is hiding and knock on it, Otacon will pee his pants!

Yeah about the posters in his lab, one of them (the one without the 'Policenauts' text, just the three robots standing in different poses) is the one where you can find Hideo Kojima's ghost if you snap a pic of it with the camera. Also, 'Policenauts' was a Japan-only release, not to mention one of Kojima's earlier works (along with Snatcher, which one of the characters was a miniature version of an older Metal Gear.)

The Policenauts poster is there because Hideo made that game.

Also, in Twin Snakes, if you go into the same room, the Playstation is replaced by a Gamecube.

I fail to see any arguement that states directly that this is the designers office. Yes, that poster belongs to another product. Does that immediately make this a mock up of the designer office? I'm sure you had other reasons, but I do not find these posted here. As such; lets work with what we do know: Otacon is into anything anime. The way he talks suggests he also enjoys games. There is a gamecube/playstations sitting at his desk and there is an anime poster on the wall. This only makes me conclude that otacon spent alot of time there. It doesnt directly or indirectly(one poster isnt good enough evidence) suggest "this is a copy of the office where the game was made". Ofcourse, if I misread your post entirely all what I wrote above is void. Disregard it in that case. :)
