In the same episode, just before Sideshow Bob and Cecil enter Cecil's apartment, there is a little blurb (a la Frasier), that states "Frasier is a (hit?) TV series on NBC." I'm surprised the exec's at FOX let that one slip through.

What most people haven't caught is that name Terwilliger is the name of the villian in the only live action file done by Dr. Seuss. The move is called "The 5000 fingers of Dr T." Dr. Terwilliger is an Evil piano teacher who captures 500 little kids and forces them to simultaneously play on the worlds largest piano

Making all of this quite obvious, the name of the episode is "Brother From Another Series"

Marcus is wrong. Bob Terwilliger is named, as many of the Simpsons characters, after streets in Matt Groening's home town of Portland, Oregon. I live here among Flanders, Quimby, Lovejoy and Terwilliger Avenues.

Hmmm... Interesting. In the Simpsons Road Rage video game there are posters everywhere that say Wanted: 'Sideshow' Bob Roberts. And states a reward. Weird. Another name mix up is that in one episode with Duffman, they call him Sid, and in another they call him Larry.

About the Duffman name switch it's not a mistake. I forget which episode I saw it on but they mentioned something about Duffman dying and the stating that he was replaced.

I don't know whats more sad; the fact that someone actually thought that this was an egg, or the fact that it has a rating of 5.1.

The episode where Bob runs for mayor, almost successfully (were it not for those meddling kids) is called "Sideshow Bob Roberts". It's one of my favourites, right up there with Deep Space Homer and Hallowe'en VI. That is why the posters describe him as such. A little inside-joke, I sense.

You all are insane! The simpsons is a satire! They make references and poke fun at nearly everything. That's what makes the show what it is. So stop all your over the top analysises and just relax and enjoy the show for what it is : A comical satire.

To Vertigo: I remember part of the quote explaining the two Duffman names - Homer says something to Duffman about him being dead and Duffman replies, "Duffman can never die, only the actors who portray him!"
