From Russia With Love Easter Egg - Ian Fleming Cameo

After Karim Bey has been killed aboard the Orient Express, the train passes one of his sons. Right after this (about 1:16 into the movie), you can see an older gentleman facing away from the train wearing a while shirt, grey pants, and carrying a cane. Meet the creator of James Bond, Ian Fleming!

This is only a rumour-whether it is him or not has never been confirmed and probably never will be. just an excercise by the producers to get people to buy the video and try out the slo-mo function on their vcrs.

This is false. Mostly because Ian Fleming died shortly after seeing his first movie, released, Dr.No.

Ian Fleming died on August 12, 1964, not in 1962, so he was still alive when From Russia With Love was filming. Go to www.imdb.com and search for Ian Fleming.

Ian Fleming was still alive during the making of "From Russia With Love." Ian Fleming did die on Aug. 12'64 (at about 1 AM). Therefore Fleming was still alive during the making of the movie and even met Sean Conery during its making of the movie. It is obviously very hard to tell if it is Fleming so we will probably never know, but I'm sure that i can find some more on this subject.

Ian Fleming died 1964 and he visited the making of "Goldfinger" (his third movie) even though he was very sick and died before the premiere. Ian Fleming often visited the makings of "From Russia With Love" and on several pictures he is wearing the same sweater as the man in the cameo. I think it seams likely that Fleming made an appearance, he is also in "Dr. no" because many scenes were recorded next to his house. // Ernst Blofeld "the Swedish villian"

Flemin met Connery and made Bond half Scottish as a result.
